Official HET-NETs 2006 site

HET-NETs 06 is organised under the auspices of the NoE Euro-NGI with the support and collaboration of other EU IST consortiums and reputable international

academic and industrial organisations. The event aims to motivate fundamental theoretical & applied research into the performance modelling, analysis and

dimensioning of evolving & converging multi-service networks of diverse technology and the next generation Internet (NGI). It provides the opportunity, in

the spirit of research collaboration, integration, dissemination and the spreading of excellence, for both individual and joint research submissions of

different research labs, special technical sessions and associated workshops/work package meetings covering the main research domains of the performance

modelling and quantitative evaluation of heterogeneous networks.

HET-NETs 06 is staged in association with the First NoE Euro-NGI PhD course in Performance Engineering and Queueing Network Models (PERFORM-QNMs), Sunday

10th Thursday 14th of September 2006 which is available to research students of Euro-NGI partner labs as well as research units worldwide. A fruitful

interaction will be established in part between the PhD Course and the Working Conference, which will take the form of a selective set of instructive

HET-NETs 06 tutorials and/or technical papers, as appropriate, delivered by world experts in the field of networks and performance engineering.

As with the earlier three HET-NETs 03 - 05 events, the HET-NETs 06 conference creates the friendly and informal working atmosphere in which researchers

exchange novel ideas and establish new research initiatives worldwide.
