Abstract

Performance modelling is a crucial aspect to system design but it is also a computationally and conceptually hard activity. The ability to share and reuse performance models and results in a structured manner has the potential to greatly improve the effectiveness of performance design projects. PerformDB is a collaborative, distributed performance engineering environment. It provides a shared publishing space on the Web where performance engineers from different institutions may cooperate. In this paper, we demonstrate some of the existing functionality of PerformDB and preview some of the upcoming advances and improvements to the tool. We encourage anyone interested to try out the site and contribute their own models and insight.
